What is the ScrapMobile?

Arts & Scraps has been serving Detroit since 1989, but about 15 years ago transportation budgets were cut. This has made it difficult for many teachers to be able to afford bringing their students to Arts & Scraps for field trips. Our solution? We developed a way to bring field trips to those schools… with our ScrapMobile!

After a creative activity with one of our instructors, students are able to explore the ScrapMobile. The ScrapMobile is a mobile store filled with recycled materials, where students can choose what they would like to continue learning and creating with after the field trip ends.
